STEP BY STEP The Journey Of A Tree

Trees are sustainably grown in certified forest concessions.
Only selected trees are harvested following a 20-year rotation cycle, allowing the forest to regenerate naturally before the next harvesting cycle begins. This method ensures sustainability by giving the ecosystem enough time to recover and maintain its biodiversity.

Only pre-approved trees, marked with a unique identification number by the ABT, can be harvested. These trees are registered via GPS.
Each one is tagged with a metal plate, which helps the extraction team identify the correct trees. The plate remains on the trunk after felling and accompanies it throughout the entire process.

The ABT monitors the transportation of all timber within Bolivia through numerous checkpoints across the country. At each checkpoint, transport trucks must present their inventory, which must match the ABT-issued documentation.

Once felled, the trees are transported to a sawmill, where they are cut and dried in a kiln. The drying process can take several weeks, and the kilns themselves are also certified. Timber destined for furniture or veneer production is transported to workshops or warehouses.
Wood intended for export is inspected by a national certifier who verifies its quality and compliance.
